Alienware laptop repair

Hi there,

 

one of our chinese students has dropped his Alienware laptop which has resulted in a broken screen.

 

It was originally purchased in china (legit I believe) but I would like to know if there is an authorised UK based repair centre.

If still under warranty:

 

It all depends on the warranty. If they offer international support, then yes, Dell will fix it.

 

 

 

If not:

 

Still get onto Dell. They may point you in the right direction.

 

 

 

Sidenote:

 

I wouldn't have looked into this. Personal laptop != my problem. [unless I'm being paid to look at it.]

Point him towards ebay for a screen, if he is one to purchase alienware he is probably a geeky gamer kid who will be able to replace it himself, as X-13 said your helping him out giving him advice but its it you responsibility for someone's personal laptop?

I know that with US-bought Dell laptops, if they are still under warranty you can transfer the warranty to the UK. It should be available for other countries too. Try the service tag on this site: Ownership-Tag Transfer | Dell

He's a gamer but a) doesn't have a clue about computers and b) his english isn't the best!
