Cruiser_Scotland Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Hi Does anyone know if it is still possible to use Nova-T4 on 32 bit clients if running SIMS SQL etc on a 64 bit server? Thanks!
glennda Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 (edited) Yes I use it here although I think NT4 is no longer supported is it not? EDIT: you will find the NT4 just won't run on the server itself Edited March 5, 2012 by glennda
Cruiser_Scotland Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Thanks glennda. Yes I know T4 isn't supported, but still want to have the option of using it once we migrate our SIMS server from Server 2003 32 bit to Server 2008 R2 64 bit.
glennda Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I've edited the post above. the client doesn't work on the server itself but it does work on 32bit clients.
matt40k Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Correct, Nova-T4 is 16bit, it won't run on 64bit Windows. It isn't affected by the server used (ie if the server is 64bit but the workstation is 32bit). It shouldn't be used for timetabling, if you do, you have to export\import to Nova-T6 then into SIMS (which seems stupid). Still useful for reporting - or so I'm told by a certain person
Cruiser_Scotland Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Thanks matt40k - no we don't use for timetabling!
