Controlling a User’s Personal Folder

Hi All,

Is there a way to control users personal folders (Doc1.pdf) by GP or other means?

At the moment there doesn't seem to be any restrictions on what people can save in there etc.

is the home Dir on Windows Server? if yes and its either Server 2003 R2 and above take a look at File Server resource Manager

Thanks Glennda - They are & I use resource manager to control files in their 'My Documents', but this doesn't work on anything outside that - Presumably its saved in there roaming profile - it's that what I want to manage.

In my experience the most likely place they can then save items is either - email accounts (if its things like games). Or on the Desktop. You can easily deny access to the desktops though gpo's
