Mr.Ben Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Well let's be honest, he's not the first Italian to abandon a sinking ship. :-)
captaincharisma Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Glad he is gone, Englishman to take us to the Euro's. New captain, young players, fresh start.
kevbaz Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Thing is, what englishman really is good enough to be manager? Redknapp is tactically inept, his tactics basically consist of give the ball to ballarina bale.. For me Rafa Benitez is a top choice, prooven cup competion manager, won la liga twice, both eruopean cup competions and the fa cup. he is a tactical genious
captaincharisma Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I wouldn't say tactically inept, you cant taking pompey on to win an FA cup and get to the quarter finals on the champions league by luck. They did beat some top sides. Agree about Benitez though, he is a top coach.
elsiegee40 Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Jose Mourinho said he wants to return to English football...
captaincharisma Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I don't think he will leave Read Madrid until the end of the season though, he wants to get one over on guardiola
bodminman Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 We should stick with an English manager. Only then will our players play with true passion and in a style that suits them when they play week in week out. I liked the good old days of 'We'll score one more than you'. ie: What ever happens were gonna keep attacking, attacking attacking and we know that we may get done on the break every now and again but hopefully we'll have scored one or more goals than you and given our fans a spectacle we can be proud of! Since we hammered Germany just over 10 years ago our national side has gone downhill. Let's get more of those fearless youngsters in the side and get them earning their stripes!
tommej Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Paid £24 million to do sweet FA! What a Load of ########
Mr.Ben Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 I'd like to see Harry take the Team to the Euros, but only after he has finished his season with Tottenham. Then we will see. Capello should never have re-appointed Terry as captain, he annoyed Rio and half the dressing room by doing so. Get the 1966 picture of Bobby Moore into your head, then imagine that he had been convicted of a racist offence 2 weeks after. Tarnished wouldn't be the word. 1
elsiegee40 Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 In any other business, an employee going to court on racism allegations would be suspended... put on gardening leave... call it what you will... until the case had been tried. In the event of a not guilty verdict, the employee would be free to return to work. If the verdict was guilty the employee would then be subject to the company's disciplinary policy and that may include dismissal. Why doesn't this apply to football teams? Mostly because England doesn't have a large enough pool of players with the ability to play at international level. It's all wrong. He should be suspended by both club and country.

Agreed. It's being said that Capello has fallen on his own sword, personally I think he threw himself on it, with gusto!
JoeBloggs Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Get the 1966 picture of Bobby Moore into your head, then imagine that he had been convicted of a racist offence 2 weeks after. Tarnished wouldn't be the word. JT has been convicted?
captaincharisma Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 If you can lip read then he is guilty
Iain.Faulkner Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Mike Bassett. Seconded :-) love that film :-)
elsiegee40 Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I think they should get Ian Holloway in for the England job... it would be refreshing!
Mr.Ben Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 JT has been convicted? No, he hasn't. But the doubt is enough to suspend him for the time being (as he would be in any other job).
Mr.Ben Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 I think they should get Ian Holloway in for the England job... it would be refreshing! Ian Holloway would be excellent!
ConTheITGuy Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I think they should get Ian Holloway in for the England job... it would be refreshing! I think he should stay where he is
tech_guy Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I think they should appoint Graham Norton. The team would all still be crap at football but they'd look lovely in pink chiffon.
