Jollity Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Anyone use a CTouch Interactive display? We are considering using an interactive display in place of a projector-based interactive white board, and had a quote for one of these.
NDW Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 i had a go on one at the BETT show. they worked well, im just unsure if i should take the plunge and move away from standard interacive board :S
Max_Power Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Theres another thread about a similar product somewhere but also went on to talk about these devices as well. We're still considering them - smartboard with projector and install is still cheaper than the equivalent screen size ctouch do. Weve also utilised smartboard software well in the past, so would need to be sure we can do a faultless transition. They should however need less attention, like bulbs and filters etc. Be interested how you get on with one - will they give you a trial unit?
Millgate Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 http://www.edugeek.net/forums/av-multimedia-related/87438-clever-lcd.html This is the other thread. I'm not sure about the CTouch but we can get trials on the CleverLCD
Jollity Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 (edited) Seems as if I had definitely better push for a trial. If we do go for a touch screen, I will let you know how it performs. Due to the cost, we would not be considering one if not for an inconvenient window which means we need to have a free standing screen. The Promethean mobile IWB is really expensive, comparable with a 55" touch screen. I will email Millgate about Clever LCD, Luke - definitely an alternative to consider.
