rphox2003 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I created a doc using my own clean template and then sent it out for review. When I received the doc back from review, there were tons of "garbage" styles in the Styles pane that are not in my template. Selecting In use in the Styles options did not hide them. And when I click on a style, the number of instances option was not there, so I take it that it is not in use. But I don't want to delete each one individually. But I did discover that if I go into Word Options > Advanced and select the Keep track of formatting checkbox, the garbage styles disappear. Shouldn't this be just the opposite - clearing the checkbox hides the garbage?
