OK. I can’t find a ‘Printers’ Forum and I have searched for a similar problem being posted before, with no relevant results.

I have an HP Laserjet P2015N. It says that there is a paper jam even though there is no ‘media’ stuck in the printer. The problem apparently started when the printer was low on toner. It has a new toner now and the ‘jam' still has not cleared. Does anyone know of a sequence of button presses to clear an error on these printers?

You sure no paper is jamed?

Had similar problems with a couple of 3500 / 3550 last week. Had to take the printer apart to find the scruntched up piece of paper that had been torn off when the paper was pulled out with force by another member of staff.

You sure no paper is jamed?....

As far as we can tell there is no paper anywhere causing a jam. It is quite difficult to examine the whole paper path for these printers, but we are confident that paper is not causing this problem because, we are told, this printer has not jammed recently.

Would you take it apart Geoff?

Ok, ok I am looking at how to take this thing apart now. By the way, you beat me to the punch Sysman: I was about to say that.

If you can, see if you can get hold of a maintenance/engineers manual for the printer. It'll give you the step by step procedure for disassembly/assembly of the printer and the correct cleaning procedure too.
