Ports to allow access to Live@Edu PowerShell

Hello,

 

Does anyone know which ports need opening to where to allow me to access the Live@Edu PowerShell sessions from work? At the moment I can't connect either with PS or EMC (which uses PS to connect) so I have to do it all from home.

 

This can be bore as you're stuffed if working to rote, and if you actually need to do something to a mailbox urgently which is more advanced than the web management tool is has to wait.

If you are connecting to https://ps.outlook.com/powershell/ it should be port 443. Do you get any error messages?

Is there a proxy in the way? If so it won't work until you configure the WinHTTP proxy [XP: use proxycfg, W7: use netsh]

From an elevated Command Prompt, run...

 

netsh winhttp set proxy [color="#FF0000"]yourproxy:80[/color] ""

Do you need to do it after each reboot, or does the setting persist?
