GFI Essentials

Hi

 

Does anyone have a copy of the freeware version of GFI Essentials that used to be available, as this version includes a non expiry version of the Exchange disclaimer part that does not expire after the 60 evaluation. They are no longer offering this as a download.

 

Alternatively does anyone have any other FREE software that will add a disclaimer to Exchange for all outgoing emails?

How are you doing your Antivirus/Antispam atm? If you don't have a solution in place you might want to put a Linux based SMTP server inbetween the Internet and your Exchange server. If you use a piece of software called amavis-new, as well as doing the antispam/antivirus checks for you, it'll add any disclaimer you want to outgoing mail.

 

Be aware though that using a disclaimer like this is discouraged. It's not legally binding, wastes bandwidth and storage space and can trip spam filters.

We are going through multiple antivirus/antispam solutions, so that is all taken care of. We are a Windows environment currently.

Dont know!! I am new only been here 1 week, I will check, not sure if we manage that.

 

Just checked, we are using Symantec security for exchange.

Don't want to thread hijack, but has anyone tried the open source filtering/antivirus software ASSP for doing this kind of thing?

 

I was going to try GRYNX but some of the issues reported put me off.

You can do this with amavis-new on a linux based MTA, as I mentioned before.

We are using Symantec Security for Exchange and I can read on quite a few sites that this uses annotations (disclaimers). Though I can not see anywhere in the config to do this?

 

Does anyone use this?
