Michael Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Hello all, Years ago Encarta used to be the norm, but of course that isn't available anymore. Online Encyclopedias seem to be the way forward, but are there any suitable out there for children? I've found Britannica, Wikipedia and I suppose search engines are a good resource, but are there any others you can recommend for children? Many thanks!
Arthur Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 It hasn't been updated for a few years now, but there's Wikipedia for Schools. 1
Michael Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Good start, thanks Arthur. Any more out there?
Jollity Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Another Wikipedia resource I think worth highlighting is the Simple English Wikipedia - it has the aim of only using simple vocabulary and grammar in its articles.
