purpleoakley Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Hi I am having a problem with a HP3600 printer and none of the HP sites I've been or are any help. The printer randomly seems to report a paper jam in the front cover, I did find a hidden bit of paper but thge message still comes up, I have cleaned and air sprayed uit but still no luck - the Event log reports a CPR sensor out of range - I did google this but I couldn't make head nor tail of what they were saying. Any advice would be gratefully received It also clicks when you turn it on and off, I narrowed it down to a Fuser presure release motor, possibly need a new fuser but just wanted to check.
Zourous Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 We have the HP3505 which looks very similar and I've had problems only last week. I eventually found a piece of paper in the fuser. I didn't realise straight away but you can take the fuser out of the printer in seconds and push open a flap to examine inside the fuser for any bits of paper. Also if the model is the same, you can run through the printers menu to find the current status of the paper sensors. It may give you some kind of clue. Ideally get hold of the service manual if you can find a free one online.
