Hello

 

Im trying to play a DVD on Windows Server 2008, When Media Player tries to Play the DVD I get a long error which saying that I need to lower my screen res and colour, I have reset to all resolutions but the DVD will not Play!,

 

Anybody have any Idea's

I have to ask, why are you trying to play a DVD on a server? The graphics card on a server is average at best (it doesn't need to be powerful), plus 'real' servers don't have sound cards either.

 

Windows Media Player won't play a DVD automatically. You could try VLC or a proper decoder like PowerDVD. Using a desktop OS like Windows 7 would be more appropriate for playing DVDs.
