Excel "HELP"

Only when using Excel, the right click mouse options aren't working?

 

Right click option menu fails to open only when highlighting a cell or group of cells. this is a resent issue (works OK when High Lighting a column or row). I've been using Excel for years and this 2003 version for 3 years. As I said this only happens in Excel and not any other Microsoft Program.

If your install is using the Excel ADM template security options in AD you could check "Disable items in user interface > Disable command bar buttons and menu items" but thats only guessing from the info you have given and not being in a position to test it.

Otherwise try a repaire install, its quick and cant hurt.

Yeah we get problems like this from time to time.

Dont know if edenaligs meathod does the same thing, or is a fix but i tend to do this and it works...

It tends to be the files in

N:\My Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\

and

N:\My Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\

i also tend to overwrite those files with the ones from my work area...

The ones in there work area tend to be different sizes/corrupt...

Wil0's idea is a good one to try, again the location of the Application Data can vary depending on setup and if you have roaming profiles etc.
