Hi,

We currently have 1 server 2003 as the DC.

Thinking of buying a 2nd server running 2008.

With regards to the licensing, do I need CAL's as well for my 80 pc's on the network as they already have CAL's with the 2003. I want to do it "per server" ideally.

Thanks

If you are a small school (and with just 1 server, you probably are) EES may work out expensive. It was for us when we did exactly what you are doing. You are better off on School's agreement.

Every member of staff with a login who works 200 hours or more per year (around 5.5 hours per week term time only) counts as a full time employee for EES. Often in small schools, you have many part-timers and TAs and it just doesn't add up.
