mikehollingsworth Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had an OEM installer CD for Windows XP tablet edition? We have been given 12 tablet pc's all with perfectly good licence keys but no install media. I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance...
markcuk Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Dont have that one sorry try here My Digital Life Forums
Michael Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Windows Media Center 2005 Edition is literally Windows XP Professional + addons and I suspect Windows Media Tablet Edition will be exactly the same. Try a standard Windows XP Pro OEM disc and the key will probably work. Unless you can buy it on an auction site, I doubt it'll be easy to get your hands on the right media. Or alternatively I guess you could try Windows 7 too, depending on the specs.
dhicks Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I was wondering if anyone had an OEM installer CD for Windows XP tablet edition? I've bought at least two copies off eBay, but I don't seem to be able to find one for you - I'll have a bit more of a look, but otherwise you can always try eBay aswell.
Arthur Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I doubt it'll be easy to get your hands on the right media. Once you know the SHA-1 checksums for the ISOs it's easy to find the relevant media on Google... Ignatius Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Windows Media Center 2005 Edition is literally Windows XP Professional + addons and I suspect Windows Media Tablet Edition will be exactly the same. Try a standard Windows XP Pro OEM disc and the key will probably work. I had to reinstall XP MCE on a couple of systems a while ago. I had heard that an OEM XP Pro should install using the MCE key but they both bombed so I had to get hold of XP MCE media (not an easy exercise!). The two systems were from different manufacturers, I recall one was a Dell but I can't remember the other.
Chris_ Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 We have them Tablet PC 2005 disks available to download via the Microsoft VLSC with our EES agreement. I'm guessing they'll be VLK versions though..
dvgaliano Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I'm in need of a Windows XP Tablet PC Edition recovery cd. Does anyone have one they could send or anyone able to download via the Microsoft VLSC, even if it's VLK?
