[sims] Sims Learning Gateway pass-through authentication

Hi folks,

 

We moved over to SIMS in the summer and have been in the process of getting our SLG up and running. It's all set up properly now and account consolidation is working etc.

 

However, when browsing to our SLG site within school it is automatically attempting to log in using the domain credentials, and until the accounts are consolidated it's generating a error. I believe this is due to pass-through authentication on the IIS server. Is there a way to disable this temporarily whilst we go through the process of getting all our members of staff logged on and consolidated?

You could manually add their AD account to the ADP - All Students, ADP - All Staff groups.

 

This should let them straight on without consolidation, it shouldn't cause any problems when you eventually get round to consolidating either.
