Little-Miss Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Has anyone here got an iPad to work succesfully through BGFL....secure sites and stuff? If so how? Is it something i need to do my end or their end? I've logged a call with them but havent had an update since.
jamin100 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I'll have a look, any sites in particular?
Little-Miss Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 Anything of any use...lol Google docs...i have an app called Paperport Notes which has access to Dropbox but i cant access it through there.
Little-Miss Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 Well i think it's uploading to Dropbox. Whats the use of cloud if i cant upload to it lol
jamin100 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 ok, well google docs works fine once im signed into my google apps account. I can also upload to dropbox using the dropbox app. I can also do access e-portal which uses https Nothing special in the wireless settings on the ipad. Just set to dhcp and manually set the proxy. Im connecting through Ruckus wireless 1
Little-Miss Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 Hmm, If i go to docs.google.com i get "Cannot open page" "There was a problem communicating with the secure web proxy server (HTTPS)". I'm using Ruckus managed wireless. Connecting through a guest lan and the main one uses certificates....
jamin100 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 odd. works for me. im not using the guest network though. Ipad 2 is running IOS 5 Here's my safari settings Search Engine - Google Autofll - Off Private Browsing - Off Fraud Warning - On Javascript - On Block Popups - On I've cleared all browsing data and tried again. When I go to docs.google.com I get a mobile version of the login page
Little-Miss Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 Ok, the only difference is the wireless.... How is yours set up then?
jamin100 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 just simply point it to the proxy. No certificates. Im running a zone Director 1000 and it hasnt been updated in ages. simply because it just works at the moment and i dont want to go messing about with it.
Little-Miss Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 I'm confuzzled. It's pointing to proxy. My zonedirector is a slightly newer i think. Now just cant decide if its external or my wireless setup. The other difference is i am running through a vlan. Would be interesting to see if its works ok at the other building on their bog standard AP's......
Little-Miss Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 Hmm ok....iPad connects fine at infant building which is just using bog standard AP's. So that leaves VLAN or my Ruckus setup.......
