Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to get someones ipad to work with their exchange mail (exchange 2010w/SP1), i've got a few people using iphones and that's working ok but if i remember correctly there was something i had to do to peoples AD accounts, maybe their mailbox in power shell in order for it to work properly and syncronise.

Obviously that's fairly vague but does any one know what i'm talking about? Sorry i can't give more information, hopefully someone twigs on to it and knows what i mean :p

Is the user an administrator, this is a protected group in 2010 and wil mess with stuff so you need to set the user to inherit permissions and then do the initial sync within 10 minutes.

If they are not it sounds like the policy for active sync may not be default (on for all users) and you may need to enable activesync for the user which you can do somehow in PS or just use the managemnt console thing and allow them that way.

Ahhh the administrators bit is what i was thinking of, which he isn't so it must be another problem....damn.

I'll check the active sync settings though i'm pretty sure everyone is enabled.

Good point, need to wait until the guy comes back to me now.

Just tested a few other accounts though that i've not done anything to and they seem to test ok.

Ah the inherited permissions worked! The exact fix i was after in my well detailed description :D

Even though none of the users with the issue are or ever have been administrators.
