Hi,

 

We are a CC3 school and we have had a couple of instances of vandalism on some of the PCs. Ive searched through the forum but can't find what I am looking for. What I want to do is each time somebody logs on is to have their name, workstation number and time of when they logged on to feed into a txt/csv file that updates with each record rather that overwrite. This would help if there are any cases of vandalism on a workstation so I can at least narrow down the search (I know this isn't conclusive as the person who used the PC might not have been the person to vandalise it, but as I said it helps narrow things down.)

 

I know this would have to be some sort of script but this isn't my strong point, I am trying to learn but getting the time is proving difficult.

Thanks for the reply, we haven't used RMAuditor for a long time as it never worked properly and it was removed.

Manage to create batch file that works I've set it up as a login script, this feeds into a file in a shared folder and the file gets renamed at the end of each month to the month and year.

Would you not be better feeding this into some sort of SQL database if you have SQL installed?

Webmans Login tracker can be used for this. I use it here and have customised it a bit - its brill!
