laserblazer Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 This makes quite interesting reading. Darell Hammond: If We Don't Let Our Children Play, Who Will Be the Next Steve Jobs?
mac_shinobi Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Now if I could work for apple on a reasonable wage .........
synaesthesia Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Trouble is, mac_shinobi, to qualify as "The Next Steve Jobs" you need to be an a***hole!
laserblazer Posted November 5, 2011 Author Posted November 5, 2011 Trouble is, mac_shinobi, to qualify as "The Next Steve Jobs" you need to be an a***hole! So don't forget to mention it on your cv
SYNACK Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I don't understand the question, there are plenty of patent trolls floating around to take his place

laserblazer Posted November 5, 2011 Author Posted November 5, 2011 Whats that being an a-hole or wanting to work for apple lol Amounts to the same thing doesn't it? 1
mac_shinobi Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Amounts to the same thing doesn't it? fine by me - Apple ( Tim Cook or anyone else ) where's my letter to say I have a job with Apple ? I enjoy being locked in, I'm in a nut shell !!
MK-2 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 yet more media outpouring, this is ridiculous. i don't recall as much "will there be another mother theresa" type articles written, the media really are portraying him as some sort of second coming of christ, if there's never another steve jobs type person in the world how will we cope, oh woe is us, our lives are all going to crumble. in answer, if you let your child become petulent, always have their way, take copious amounts of drugs, never wash, yell at people, live in their own world and refuse to listen to others, then yes, we could well have another steve jobs in the future
Arthur Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 What exactly does Darell Hammond mean by "play"? Aren't Arduino's and BeagleBoard's today's equivalents of HeathKits? You also have tons of open source software and operating systems which people can tinker with, along with iPad apps like Codify too.
Arthur Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Journalist's will do anything to create sensationalist headlines these days. Apparently Microsoft's Steven Sinofsky, Apple's Jonathan Ive and Scott Forstall are the next Steve Jobs. Perhaps they could all job share?
