Trying to get the latest version running on our 2003 CC4 server.

At first I was getting an error when I would enter the AD password but found from another page to delete some lines from the bottom of the web.config file which fixed that issue, now when I try to change the AD groups which are assigned to the objects and click update I get a little error box saying Bad Request error. Any idea what this could be?

Ok found out it was only occuring when I was trying to change the default email sections. I think it was because the default install has 2 email settings called the same. As soon as I deleted one from my hapconfig.xml file it would let me update it.

I have received the same error again but this time when adding a booking. Although I receive an error stating Bad Request if I refresh the page the entry has been inserted. If I try to delete the booking I get the error again but it does not allow me to remove the entry.

Nick any ideas?

Thanks for the reply Nick. This is great replacement to Easylink and wish I found it ages ago....

I have managed to make it work by disabling the smtp settings and the booking system then works fine. I have entered the smtp settings correctly but who does the booking system email? is it the admin user or the user who booked the lesson, if so does it look the email address up in the AD profile.

Should I still try the json troubleshooting?

Nick I have adjusted the settings under my resource group to not email admins and the booking system continued to work and also sent the teacher an email so the issue is with when I tick the box for admins. Does it attempt to email all users with domain admin access and if so could it be that these users have not been assigned email addresses in the AD profile? Edited by ragbuster

I have tried changing all settings I can think of but can not get the booking system working correctly when I have the tick box next to email admins.

Is there anything I can do to debug or see whats causing the problem?

Which users have you set to email admins? The system will email both the booking system admins and the resource admins. These users need to have the mail attribute in AD defined. The user used to connect to the SMTP server will need to have send of behalf of rights

I just left the box with the setting "inherit" assuming this would be the administrator account. My main email settings in setup.aspx go straight out to RM ifl mail server, is this a problem? How do I setup send of behalf rights?

Quick update and some more questions.

Ok I have removed the inherit property and just assigned my username and it now works. Great

I have a couple more questions Nick if you have time to answer.

1. Is there a way to disable the attachment of the calendar entry?

2. We use a 2 week booking system and noticed you call them week 1 and week 2, is it possible to give them names eg. yellow week, blue week as just week 1 or week 2 will confuse users.
