Hello everyone.

Need some urgent advice in regards to school server i support. the HDD currently installed is only 120gig and is full. I have bought 2 1TB hdd to replace the existing one. One will be the used for back up and the other needs to be a copy of the original one.

My question is how do i do this. I have norton ghost cast server which i can use, but will it expand the partition?. I dont want to clone it and find that it is

exactly the same size as the old HDD and all the extra space is lost. Also the existing HDD has to Partitions, will be able to copy both across.

Thanks

Your help is much appreciated.

Why don't you make a ghost image of the server, remove the original drive and try to install your image on the new 1Tb drive. I believe that you will be presented with the option to resize the partition(s) to use the maximum of available space.

If this doesn't work, you just have to plug the old drive back in the server.
