MK-2 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 ...some good stories do come through. This is a moving story (unlike some of the absolutely ridiculous comments it has produced on the page) Bryon Widner tattoos: Criminal tuns back time with 16 months of laser surgery | Mail Online Thoughts? Is he a changed man? Do you believe him? Would you hire him?
LosOjos Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Very moving story - I genuinely believe people can change. Just because he was once a racist idiot, doesn't mean he can't come to his senses in later life and I believe that's what he has done. Fair play to him for going through with the ops to give himself a real chance at employment - it would have been an easier route to sit at home and claim benefits!
synaesthesia Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Great story. Can only agree with the black people who have already looked past someone's history and look forward to the future - such a story can only really work with forgiveness on both sides. After all, regardless of colour or creed we're all still human beings with feelings. Not only has he renounced his past, he's looking to give his family a better future - that is commendable enough on it's own merit.
featured_spectre Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 As above, if he has changed his ways then yes, he deserves every opportunity the rest of us get. His story is nothing short of amazing and he seems like he has changed. I would employ him if he passed the requirements
