pantscat Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I'm just wondering where people have had success advertising roles? I'll be doing a bit of recruiting in the not-too-distant future and as it's been a good few years since I last placed any adverts in the press I'd appreciated any pointers for a good result! Ta, Ant
JoeBloggs Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Job Centre Plus, Local papers. If School, then council job site. Then you can pay for stuff like Reed, CWJobs - or contact a recruitment agency. Depends what you want to do really.
glennda Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 We always do - Edugeek - Council Job Site then Hays (school in contract)
witch Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Local press is pretty good alongside council site if school and edugeek as well of course!
pantscat Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 We're independent so wouldn't use the council site. Cheers for the pointers though.

elsiegee40 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) We are independent and advertised in the following: On our website (free) Educational IT Jobs | edugeek.net (free) The local paper (not free) which goes on their website ISC Jobzone - The site to look for jobs in independent schools - free for us to advertise and this automatically pushes the post through to Education jobs & Teaching jobs | Guardian Jobs for a free advert there On gumtree.com (free for the first 5 adverts and this was our 4th) We linked all the adverts to our school website page for the job advert. We had loads of good replies and was surprised to find that every advert source above was mentioned (including The Guardian) in the "Where did you find out about this job" question on the application form.
