SimpleSi Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 ...and it will in a very short space of time BT Business Direct - HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless - £20 Cash back & Free 3 year warranty (CB047A#BEH) Great price - shame about the product I can't vouch for the wireless version but the non-wireless one was the worst printer I've ever had the mis-fortune to deal with (except for an old colour laser 10 years ago) I'd love for HP to make a decent Business Inkjet again. If anyone does buy one, let me know and I'll hunt around and see if I've any old cartridges lying around Si
glennda Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 This is a pretty good deal HP LaserJet P2055Dn Mono Laser Printer - www.misco.co.uk
SimpleSi Posted October 27, 2011 Author Posted October 27, 2011 That is good I've got 3 of them and they seem to be cracking little printers (But then again -I've never met a bad HP B&W laser) Si
Chris_ Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 That is good I've got 3 of them and they seem to be cracking little printers (But then again -I've never met a bad HP B&W laser) Si We've got a P2055DN and I've recently gone off it after realising how low the toner yield is and the cost for original toners!! We're getting through a toner every 2 weeks!

We're getting through a toner every 2 weeks! I buy the High Cap twinpack (2 toners) and am another delighted P2055DN owner. It seems very frugal on tonner after it's OKI predecessor... How many pages are you getting from a toner?

elsiegee40 Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Somewhere around 2000 pages Will check mine out next week and get back to you!
SimpleSi Posted October 29, 2011 Author Posted October 29, 2011 I buy the High Cap twinpack (2 toners) Same here - I haven't actually done a cost/page anaysis but every other b&W laser I've used has always been OK. Si
elsiegee40 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Somewhere around 2000 pages @Chris_ That's the output of the standard HP05A cartidge (advertised at 2300 pages). The High Cap cartridges HP05X have an advertised output of around 6500 pages for less than twice the price of the standard toner. The twin pack of high cap cartridges (HP 05XD) saves even more money. I've had a poke round Print Manager Plus and it looks like we're getting around the advertised output for the High Cap toners.

Hmm, the HP toners still look quite expensive, when compared to some of the Brother ones that we buy. I'll look into getting the 05X ones ordered in future...
TechSupp Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Got to agree, had the misfortune to get two for school a couple of years back and when working they were fine but once they started playing up they were only fit for the bin.
mb2k01 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 I must be pretty lucky judging by these comments! I've had three of these at work in use for a good 2 years ish, and I liked them so much I got one for home too. The home one lost its wireless settings once, but apart from that it's been faultless - same as the three at work!
