Samsung Home Cinema - 1000W RMS

Hello All,

 

I know nothing about home cinema systems so hopefully somebody will be able to help me;

 

*Firstly I have a Samsung 1000W RMS home cinema blu ray system. Is the power output good on this or not? What is RMS?

*Any tips on improving sound? Is it best to use optical cables for input or improving speaker cables? Any cables anybody recommends?

*What is the ideal positioning of the speakers?
