HodgeHi Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Hello, I have downloaded the Network Installation guide and found the OS X part a little lacking in the description of deployment of the ActivInspire software. I understand how to use ARD to deploy the software. What I would like to know is how would I go about deploying the registration of the software to register it for use on the machines connected to the boards? Is there a way this can be done remotely for macs? What file does the software write to to register the software? Can this file then be copied over to each machine to register the software? I hope you can help. The Windows part of the guide has 17-18 pages. The OS X section has 2.
cmssbrie Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Hi There, On the Mac side of things, believe the guide is enough to deploy the software accross your network using the normal ARD procedures. In terms of "registering" - do you mean over riding the serial number request at Inspire launch? - If so, this is stored in a .xml file which should be present on each machine you wish to use with a board connected - or one that is fully licensed for Professional edition. This file is stored in users\shared\Promethean\ActivInspire and is called Inspire_license.xml. Hope this helps
