Prodesktop 2000i2

We've been using this software for sometime now however although it runs in Windows 7 some of the features just don't work anymore can anyone tell me whether this or ProDesktop 8 is compatible with Windows 7 I think the support for these products is now dried up so if it isn't compatible what recommendations could you give me to replace it?

SolidWorks and ProEngineer are two replacements that schools seem to be moving to that I know. However 2000i2 was replaced ages ago did your DT staff not go on the upgrade course Wes to get the new license for the newer version?

They went to Prodesktop 8 even tried out ProEngineer I think but I get the feeling he'd prefer to move to SolidWorks. Think they were just waiting for the day it wouldn't work tbh.

ProDesktop 8 is fine on W7, just remember to run it as an administratior, draw a cube and extract it to register the DLLs etc before hand and its all good and shiny

Take a look at Creo. Still FREE to schools, much easier to use, lots of new features inclduing Freestyle for product design and lots of tutorials and curriculum projects.
