vikpaw Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 There have been some recent issues where access to SIMS externally means you have to be a little careful. Once you remove the physical barrier of being at a pre-installed workstation, things like single sign-on are maybe not such a good idea. Two-factor authentication makes sense, and having some kind of timeout as we well would be useful. Consider policies you might have in place for staff taking data home, working on sims from home.
TheScarfedOne Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 The other big one is the printing. I know that the LA remote solution down here prevents it for DPA reasons. Seconded the timeout and two factor authentication.
NETKILLER Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 The two factor authentication is still there the way i have it is the user goes to the url logs on with there system account and selects sims whitch then runs the full version of sims that then asks them for the password for sims. printing wise will have to run tests on that makeing sure they can not print anything at home from sims thank you for the advise
