JoeBloggs Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 timeout 30000 milliseconds waiting for a transaction response from the "cisvc" service I have a Windows Server 2003 full patched running like a dog. The only thing still left running on it is Sage for 2 users. Anyone come across this error before?
Geoff Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 That's the Indexing service. It's trying to index the contents of the servers hard drive (and failing). If you don't need to index the drive for faster searches then disable the indexing (in the drive properties IIRC). Also, if it is getting 'stuck' this might indicate a file system error or even a failing disk drive. 1
