nickbro Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Here's another little screenshot, this time of the updated control panel
wdwm Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Hi Nick, stirling work as always! Done the update tonight and have a couple of problems. At our school we have five lessons a day and we split the ICT bookings into 30 min slots and number them 1a, 1b, 2a etc. Attached is the screen I'm seeing with Internet Explorer 9 and Win 7. I'm also having problems deleting bookings. Also on the old booking system I still get an 'Out of Bounds' error. As attached.
nickbro Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 Layout fixed in v7.5 To fix it yourself: ~/bookingsystem/new.aspx Replace some code with: (just a case of replacing these bits of html. Add the following lines to the bookingsystem.css file in ~/style/ #bookingday { overflow: auto; border-width: 1px; border-style: solid; } #bookingday .head { height: 30px; line-height: 30px; color: #fff margin: 0; padding: 0; overflow: hidden; white-space: nowrap; } #bookingday .body { overflow: hidden; } #bookingday .body .col { height: 60px; overflow: hidden; white-space: nowrap; text-overflow: ellipse; } #bookingday .body .col div { text-align: center; height: 60px; line-height: 60px; white-space: nowrap; text-overflow: ellipse; } #bookingday #resources { height: auto; color: #fff padding: 0 0 2px 0; float: left; width: 156px; } style="width: <%=(156 * (config.BookingSystem.Lessons.Count + 1)) + 2 %>px">
mattgrimley Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 v7.5 feedback These are all fairly related.. They are all to do with making / deleting an individual booking: 1> Member of staff can create a booking - but the page doesn't update to show it 2> Member of staff cannot remove their own booking - pop-up is displayed, but it doesn't actually remove 3> My Admin user cannot remove a staff-booking either - popup is shown, but it never deletes. (even with a page refresh) 4> Admin CAN over-ride but the page doesn't refresh to show it 5> Admin CANNOT Remove its own booking That's it for now! The Booking System Control Panel looks great - i'll give the SIMS import a shot in a bit
nickbro Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 SIMS import still isn't working yet. As for the other matter, something isn't running correctly. HAP+ isn't returning the data correctly to the user when an Update is called. Which is telling me your server isn't responding with a JSON response. What Server are you running HAP+ on?
wdwm Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Hi Nick, I have same problems as Matt. But as an added issue the .xml files I've imported for 'static bookings' is not viewable on the calendar although they appear in the admin panel. Using Server 2003 and IIS 6. If I attempt to edit a static booking I get a message about tables. Sorry not to be clear, but just thought of this before I go and get an early night for a change!

nickbro Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 There is something you can try, see http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/83945-v8-my-files-3.html#post742186

CountNZ Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Hi Nick HAP 7.5 Booking system Rocks have one small bit of non functionality though. when first go to the booking system and see todays bookings I pop down the month calendar but moving forward a month just doesnt happen, any ideas? BTW using Windows 7 IE9 Thanks Dave
nickbro Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 Can you view the source of the website, look for var user = { username: .... }; Paste that in here so I can have a look. The calendar won't allow you to go forward/backward if the date if you are not an admin, or you only have 2 weeks ahead that doesn't cross the week barrier. Can you check for javascript errors

nickbro Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 The problem is coming from new Date(2011, 9, 19), maxDate: new Date(2011, 9, 7) You need to go into the Control Panel, and make sure all of the term dates are correct. The system will use the last term date for the maxDate for Domain Admins. 2011, 9, 7 == 7/10/2011 (your limit date, this should be July Next Year really) 2011, 9, 19 == 19/10/2011 (this is basically the current date or the min date, this is working correctly)

I added some new resources and changed an existing one they do not seem to have been populated - could be the same problem?? Edited October 20, 2011 by CountNZ additional
nickbro Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) This is odd, there is nothing hard coded in HAP+ that states to just load 3 terms, I use terms.Count - 1 for initializing the array (arrays start at 0, so 0 -> 3 == 4). The only thing I can think of is the half term dates. Can you set these to be a Saturday and make sure they fall inside the term What's happening is the system is picking up on term 3 because of the half term dates, and ignoring term 4 because, again, of the half term dates foreach (Term t in terms) if (date >= t.StartDate && date <= t.EndDate) { if (date >= t.HalfTerm.StartDate && date <= t.HalfTerm.EndDate) { date = t.HalfTerm.EndDate; if (date.DayOfWeek == DayOfWeek.Friday) date.AddDays(3); else if (date.DayOfWeek == DayOfWeek.Saturday) date.AddDays(2); else if (date.DayOfWeek == DayOfWeek.Sunday) date.AddDays(1); } } Edited October 20, 2011 by nickbro
CountNZ Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Hi Nick Have been away for a few days so back to looking at the booking system. I changed the mid term dates to Saturdays and added the two dlls from bin.zip and restarted iis. Also had a poke around to see why the resources were not showing as free (ie just white space where it should be a grey square saying Free/not booked and realised that the resources that were blank had spaces in the name so I took out spaces in the rersource name and they all show now. great! interesting that you can have a space in the lesson name? but not the resource name. ie var user = { username: 'HS', isAdminOf: [ 'LC1-30', 'LC2', 'LC3', 'T9Classroom-15', 'B1Classroom-15', 'SciencePOD-18', 'C1Classroom-30', 'ScienceLaptops-8', 'Minibus1', 'Minibus2' ], isBSAdmin: true, minDate: new Date(2011, 9, 25), maxDate: new Date(2011, 9, 7), maxBookings: -1 }; still unable to expand the small calendar and still showing the same maxdate on my logon also the overview shows this error tried logging on as a normal teacher and was able to expand the small calendar andd the pages source shows the correct maxdate var user = { username: 'hs2', isAdminOf: [ ], isBSAdmin: false, minDate: new Date(2011, 9, 25), maxDate: new Date(2011, 10, 27), maxBookings: 5 }; however still the same error page when trying to get the overview Thanks for your time on this Dave
CountNZ Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Take the spaces out of the resource names It worked for me 1
cromertech Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Take the spaces out of the resource names It worked for me Worked for me too. Can't use any spaces or space substitutes (%20 or both make it display blanks).

nickbro Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) Hi all, For those of you looking for the SIMS.net Import functionality working in v7.5, sorry, but this will now be shipping in v7.6. I've just coded the routines to translate the SIMS SuperStartReport into a Static Bookings File. Notes of caution: Users in AD should have their Display Names/Notes match what is in SIMS in the Format of Mr A Teacher. The system will first attempt to fild the user my looking for that whole expression, if that fails it will look to see if there is only one user with that surname. Looking up users is defined via the AD step in the HAP Configuration, and will only look at OUs which have not been set to ignore. If you need this functionality ASAP, you can download the latest source code release from codeplex and compile it in Visual Studio. v7.6 is expected out soon Edited October 25, 2011 by nickbro
nickbro Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 @CountNZ Can you try the attached dll please and report back if it allows you to now use the date picker calendar
