JMB Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Hi everyone. I wonder if anyone can help. We have a site licence for Touch Games 1 and 2, but no CDs for them. I've searched everywhere but can only assume my precedessor lost them. I've looked online, but the company that made it no longer exists, or else no longer supplies the game. Either way, I'm stuck. I've copied the directories off the one PC that still has them installed, but I can't get them to run on another machine in this way. Which is a shame! By any chance does anyone have a copy of them they'd be willing to share/lend? Thanks!
andy_b Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 How do they not run? We have the floppy disk versions and the only problems we had were permission based. Have you tested using an account with admin permissions?
K.C.Leblanc Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 It might be worth grabbing filemon and regmon from sysinternals. You can use it to see which files the program is trying to access. Windows Sysinternals: Documentation, downloads and additional resources
andy_b Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 From memory they like to create temporary files in c:\windows :/
JMB Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 All sorted, thanks everyone! I managed to get the files, but when installing the setup file on "disk 1", it would prompt for "disk 2", and no amount of telling it where the file was stored would convince it. In the end, I copied the contents of the "disk 2" folder to the "disk 1" folder, and it installed perfectly. Happy ending!
