localzuk Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 sorry i'm not allowed to give anything away Please check the forum posting rules - one of them is that you must include a payscale. (I've copied the rules in below) Also, without pay scales advertised, you are going to make a lot of people think that you are shooting for someone who offers as low a level of pay as possible. 1. Only schools may post vacancies for free 2. Agencies or private companies pay a fee of £20 per vacancy. Please use the 'Contact us' link at the top of the page to get in touch with us. 3. Please post wage levels with each vacancy 4. Any posts from EduGeek members complaining about wage levels will be removed and an infraction given 5. No posting vacancies by proxy i.e. 'getting a mate to post it up here as a favour'. You will be found out. 6. If you have any doubts please PM me 7. Members may post links to jobs that they feel may be of interest as long as rules 3 and 5 are followed. 1
kevin_lane Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 Ok I didn’t know that well I would include the pay scale but my hands are tied but if you read the job description it does say someone needs to be either an MCP or higher hope that helps.
FN-GM Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 To be honest an MCP doesn't really mean anything regarding the scale. For example I have seen jobs being payed half of what I was on when I was in the UK and I have nothing.
featured_spectre Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Highest Rate of pay is £19'000...I phoned through and asked. I explained my qualifications (those who have seen my CV know what I have) and was asked how much would I accept. I said between £25-£35k, and the lady said it was going up to £19k at the most 3
znova Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Hope I'm not treading on anyone's toes (witch) - just wanted to add a few comments about the school. It seems like a nice school now, though historically it hasn't always been. Been there for a uni project, they use learning platform for everything, and senior management is supportive - just my impression! Not affiliated with the school in any way, just local.
witch Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 (edited) IF you read the rules you will see that commenting on a salary is against the rules and WILL result in an infraction. *other information that might help a prospective applicant is absolutely fine Ignoring a mod won't get you a prize either Edited October 5, 2011 by witch 1
