Jamo Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 This may seem like a completely stupid question.... But how do you cancel an advertisment to a collection on SCCM when it is a Task Sequence???!?!?!?! It gives me no option to cancel which seems nuts. Now the job is advertised but will fail as it is configured wrongly! SURELY a cancel task button is in order here?!
synaesthesia Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Rather than look at the task sequence you need to look at the collection - if you right click on a collection you have the option there to clear the last advertisement (However I've been working with 2012 so often I can't remember if that applies to 2007). Fairly certain that in both you clear advertisements from the collection rather than the sequence.
sparkeh Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 (edited) Can't you just go to the advertisement node and delete the advert? Then correct the TS and readvertise? Edited October 4, 2011 by sparkeh 1
gshaw Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Yup as sparkeh says, all advertisements will come up in Software Distribution > Advertisements. Delete any you don't want et voila 1
Jamo Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Its weird there isn't an option to cancel the task sequence on the collection (just thought of that as i was walking to lunch!! The advertisment node shows the adverts but doesn't give a cancel option I can view the errors and warnings though but thats about it!! This program is soweird!
Jamo Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Ah.... Looks like there is no auto refresh right click refresh and they appear! Many thanks for the help as always!!
