Limiting access to Exchange 2010 GAL

I've been asked to make accounts for year 3 so they can learn email. Now teachers are not happy that students can find other teachers addresses in Outlook GAL. Is there any way to restrict who has access to the GAL?

 

We're using Exchange 2010 OWA.

1. Wait for SP2 you can use GAL segmenatation which should be out Oct/Nov hopefully.

2. If not then you can mess around with address lists and permission them and hide the GAL for year 3. May have to crate a group for everyone bar year 3 to read the GAL and dont put these this year in there. Quite messy.

Waiting for SP2 would be easier than changing permission. Thanks for the info.

Without being funny whats wrong with year 3 students being able to see staff emails? We have all staff/students here on the GAL and each member of staff is down as initialsurname so jbloggs.

 

if the kids are clever enough they can work out the addresses anyway...

Quite! We've been using it this way for the the last 3 years without problems so I don't know what all the fuss is about.
