beany1 Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Hi all, So using a flash based website, which is pretty much entirely flash on which the kids need to press start then instructions are given and buttons appear for them to play the game. The problem is however the buttons aren't appearing. Assumed this was a flash/shockwave/java problem so I re-installed all three. Using both IE and Chrome same problem, however on other computers it works. So I remote desktop into the machines in question, and the buttons appear and work! Now back on the machine the buttons disappear! I assumed this was maybe a graphics driver problem so I re-installed the latest driver along with flash. No help! Youtube works fine etc can skip forward stop etc. Any help would be amazing I'm pulling my hair out!
DaveyPitch Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Does it work as anyone else on the machines in question? Does it work fine when you log in? Can students use the website fine on other machines in the school?
beany1 Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Hi Davey, Cheers for that - it was 5 PCs... 1 worked the other 4 didn't the only difference between the machines? 1 had speakers the others didn't! Windows 7 and its crazy sound thing that makes older programs assume there is no sound card again! Moment I plugged some headphones in it worked. Can't believe it!
DaveyPitch Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Heh, I've seen it do similar things here, though thankfully our machines all have internal speakers, so when we finally got them working properly, Windows stopped messing about. Glad you got it sorted anyway 1
