newpersn Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Got a slight issue here. We got one or two of our computers that are connected to a usb printer. But it keep pausing the printers. Is there away of sorting this problem out? Cheers All
Michael Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 How exactly is the printer wired up? Do you keep swapping the USB cable or is it connected to a PC and shared out? Try stopping and starting the spooler service on each machine. Start > Run > CMD type: net stop spooler then: net start spooler on both machines or the computer the printer is shared from.
newpersn Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Just usb printer. Is shared out but when you print though the usb it keep pausing jobs. Will Try restarting the spool serivce. But the computer does get turned off at night and on again in the morning.
Michael Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 If you still have problems after this, try looking for a new driver for your printer. Many new drivers out there are compatible with XP/Vista/7 x86 and x64 versions.
newpersn Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 Update: Windows xp and HP Laserjet 2200. Ive updated the drivers from HP website. So im now using HP Drivers insted of MS ones. Still havent had any luck. Ive tired all tick boxes. Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and still no luck Any ideas? Seems to be driving me and user round the bend. Thanks
lionsl2005 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 occasionally im having the same problem in laserjet cp3505n.(networked) i use to go to web interface to resume the printer. then it will keep going.
