Cachepilot Authenticating Students ok, but staff are anonymous!

I have been having a problem for a few days which is driving me mental. For some reason the cachepilot seems to be authenticating Student users fine, and displays their username on the Error Page when they try to visit a banned site. Staff on the other hand and all going through as anonymous users (error page displayes a hyphen where the username should be). This means that the staff are being denied access to all sites that are listed as forbidden in any blacklist, instead of just the staff blacklist. I have recreated the staff user and group on the cachepilot countless times, but still getting the same problem.

 

Any idea's?
