Hi,

We used Server 2008's Print Management to deploy printers to computers via GP. All works well, apart from they printers follow the users around!

For example:

"Room1" has GP "Printer1" assigned to it with a printer configured. A student will log on to a computer here, log off and log on to Room2 and Room1 printer will be available. A student logging into Room2 first will not have Room1's printer.

Any ideas?

Thanks

We added a logoff script that runs con2prt /f so that all network printers are removed at logoff. We've had this in place for a week now, and we've not had any staff shouting that documents are coming out in the wrong place now.

We also have the GPP set to delete all printers at logon, but that is a little hit and miss, but con2prt seems to work fine.

That looks more complicated than the con2prt script; not too fussed if the spooler stops if a reboot will fix it. Do I need to download and install con2prt? Just done a quick search and cannot find a working download location if someone can link me?

Thanks
