Is it possible to defer a drop down from a period to pm reg. For example where pm reg is dropped down from a period in the day (e.g. 11.30 to 12.30) is it possible to take the register for this teaching period at 11.30 BUT have the marks drop down to pm reg at 12.00?

You can in lesson monitor setup, specify which period is linked to pm registration. Then you don't need a specific pm reg slot. Do you have an exisiting pm reg slot timetabled?

Put a P in this 11.30-12.30 period to show it's going to be the pm reg time. Then you can click to copy lesson marks to session, it will then fill the pm session with the marks from that period. I don't think the timing matters all that much. It's not really specified anywhere that i'm aware of. So if you want to do the register at 11.30 and save it, it should populate the pm session for you.

I'm afraid that what you want is not possible.

As soon as the Register is taken in the specific lesson then it automatically writes back to Attendance. You cannot delay this. This would be at 11.30 in your example. All you could do is tell the staff to delay marking their Class Register until 12.00. Trying to get all the staff to conform, in the middle of a lesson, would no doubt be an impossibility though!

Ah, does pm reg have to be at 12 or later? Could you use the next period and push the marks back as a workaround..?

It would be good to see what periods you have and when, and how you've set it up.

You need to put in a pattern to show when your pm session starts, it's not to do with time, just when you want it to start or be within.

The copy lesson marks to session thing, would then copy the marks taken i lesson to the pm session.

Hope that makes sense. The manual covers it quite well too.

We want lesson 4 to be pm reg and to drop down to a pm reg slot but not until 12.00 there instead of a straight drop down we want the drop down to happen 15 minutes into the lesson.

As @Sivadam says, you can't put a delay in.

Why does it need to be at 12 exactly? Can it be after 12..? Then i'd suggest it is linked to period 5 instead. You can't control the time unless you make a specific period in the middle for that, or alter the start / end times of the other periods.

Would it be practical to get ALL the Classroom Staff to mark their Lesson 4 Register at the END of Lesson 4?

Then you would get what you require - a PM Mark transferred to Attendance Registers in the PM. The snag is that there is then no time to chase any unmarked register before the end of that lesson!

It seems to me that you are trying to combine two things together than cannot be done i.e. a single mark to do lesson and reg but at different times. Since most staff will not have taken the mark until 5 minutes into the lesson you are concerned about 10 minutes. If a child leaves in that 10 minutes you could ask the office to make them absent or indeed change the mark in the classroom.
