Sharepoint 2010 + Hosted Exchange

Has anyone got email integration with sharepoint working with Live@edu?

 

The sharepoint configuration doesn't have an smtp port number and Hosted Exchange uses port 587 and TLS authentication.

 

Or does anyone know of an SMTP server that I can use which runs on port 21? I tried Gmail and Hotmail but both use custom smpt server ports

I did look at the solution of building a complete new smtp server and relaying to live@edu but it does seem like overkill for such a simple problem.

Yes its an onsite Sharepoint 2010

 

And we use Hosted Outlook

 

As you can see from the sharepoint configuration page there is no where to put the port number or TLS encryption checkbox.

I had a look at IIS but I'm not sure how that would allow me to use hosted exchange with sharepoint

I thought you wanted to change the port, then configure SP, In IIS you should be able to change the port used by SP, then configure SP to use the mail servers (hosted)

Sharepoint works fine over the web port 80, I just want to configure sharepoint to send emails via SMTP.

 

Sadly the hosted exchange does not use Port 25 and there seems no way in sharepoint to change that.
