fiza Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 (edited) I have some new machines that will not process 1 group policy. All the other policies get applied. When I run Group Policy modelling it shows as being applied. When I log in as a user then run RSOP the group policy isnt even mentioned. Not even an error message. Same user logs into some older machines and the policies apply as they should. The new machines were built with the same image used for the older machines. The main thing with the policy is that it maps drives, printers and folder redirection so without it the user gets nothing. I am stumped at the moment. Have tried removing from the domain and in again - no joy. Any advice would be appreciated. Edited September 6, 2011 by fiza
cpjitservices Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 are the PC's in the correct container in ADUC ?
DAZZD88 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 What OSes are on your DC and your client machines?
fiza Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 The policy in question is a user policy so shouldnt matter where the Computers are should it? The Domain has just been upgraded to 2008 R2 and all clients are XP SP3. Same users logging onto other machines and the policy with the script works fine. Applies to both students and Staff. Students have mandatory profiles and staff have roaming.
Vermilion_Chaos Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Is Client side preferences installed ?? Sounds like it might not have installed
m25man Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Have you checked the policy security settings? Are the target users allowed to read and apply it?
