Ric_ Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I thought that if you dug about on the MS website enough you could simply download a free plugin to do this... correct me if I'm wrong.
cooper Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 If anyone knows where the free plugin can be found can they post a link. tia
kingmarsh Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 To Ric_ Thanks for your info. But I can not find a free plug-in on microsoft site. Yet I do find several commercial plug-ins to convert powerpoint to flash. So, could you kindly leava a link here ? To CyberNerd Yes, Open Office has a feature to enable you to export a powerpoint as a flash. But I am afraid you will just get static slildes in the converted flash. If you want to retain animations, transitions or multimedia like inserted audio, a commercial converter like PPT2Flash is a better choice. In addition to Open Office, you can try this free converter Powerbullet Presenter Powerbullet Presenter is a small, simple and free program for creating presentations in the Flash format. http://www.powerbullet.com/ Same again, this tool can only convert flash with static slides. For the compaitibility with PowerPoint 2007, I have not heard any update news of Open Office or Powerbullet Presenter.

alonebfg Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 i have been doing as we speak i ran the powerpoint presentation with wink (Recomended by edugeekers)and it works like a dream saved it as flash file also put some sound to it. and best of all it is free. Could also edit timings and everything.
kingmarsh Posted June 11, 2007 Author Posted June 11, 2007 In terms of freeware, wink is a good choice. Actually, it is a screen recording tool rather than a conversion tool. You can record the PowerPoint screens as you run the presentation and save it as a Flash file. With PPT2Flash Professional, you just import the presentation and then convert. Their working mechanisms are diffferent and results in some differences. For example, you can not retaind hyperlinks, attachments, rehearse timings, or hidden notes by recording. For people care with this, they may like to use a conversion tool like PPT2Flash Professional. Since it is shareware, you can have a free trial
