EPSON AL-C1100 - Paper Jam but no paper can be seen!

Hello All,

 

EPSON AL-C1100 has an error message on the display saying Jam MP E. Has anybody seen this before? I have had it in bits and no paper or even little scraps of paper can be seen. The printer tries to print, but the feed makes like a slipping noise and no paper is fed through.

 

Can anybody advise?

Yep, used to see it lots in my old job where we had quite a few of these - try and complete power off of the printer [ leave it a good hour ] and then back on or my other trusted method was to slam really hard the back door of the printer and the top [ where you replace the conduting unit ] - you will have to slam it really hard.

Failing that, where the paper is pull it out and then put out of sync the pick up wheels at the back, then turn it back on.

It's saying that doors are open when they aren't and constantly doing a RAM Check over and over. I don't like these EPSON printers!
