New laptop for offspring...

Hi folks, I am after some advice...

 

We are looking for a laptop for my youngest son who is off to Uni this year.

 

As he is on a music course (he is a pretty amazing singer!) a 17" or larger screen would be useful for composition work and I think he should get an i3 system at a minimum.

 

Any suggestions for laptops that would suit him and suppliers that will do a good deal would be gratefully received.

 

We have been looking at machines and prices online but that is just making my head hurt
