Wordpress Offline?

Is there a method that would allow me to of download a copy my wifes wordpress site (Just Rebecca Photography - Rebbeca's Wedding and studio Photography Blog) rebuild and reorganise the site with a new template and upload it again overwiting the existing site? or any other method which would allow me to update and edit the site with out disturbing the exisiting live site?

 

we have alot of traffic going to this site and i dont want to take it offline.

Well you could always just download the full directory structures etc, host a webserver (mobile apache etc) and edit it on there? Assuming you have access to the files. Same style as viewing/editing any PHP pages etc.
