Hi everyone,

I have installed Print Manager Plus on Server 2003. I have xp clients setup with AD.

The software is great and is communicating with the server. It is printing and it is authenticating with the Manager plus on the server.

The problem: The service "Print Manager Plus" keep stopping after i print??? It doesn't crash, it just stops! I cannot print anything else until i restart that service! I am really confused on how to approach this...how can i make it so the services keeps running after a print job???

If you require any further information, please let me know what you need and I can post it (please let me know the steps to get that info as i am a newbie with servers)

Any help is appreciated, thanks!:sign4:

i had a similar problem 'I think'

In the end i used some registry fix in windows .. I think it was something about this software starting before the spooler service or something along them lines

I suspect it could be a print driver creating this problem. If you haven't already, try updating to the latest driver(s) for your printers/photocopiers. If that still doesn't work, I'd recommend you get in touch with SoftwareShelf themselves.

If you can't print then the spooler service must also be stopping which points towards a driver problem.

If the spooler service was still running then if the pmp service stopped for whatever reason printing would be possible it just wouldn't be restricted at all.

Was giving too much problems. (printer is too old and the company is not making any new updates for it.)

We decided to ditch the software and went with PaperCut, much easier and recognizes the printer with no hardware issues.

Thanks anyway everyone :-)
