2097 Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Guys We redirect my documents Documents are stored like this C:\Share\Staff\Username The share is obviously the share and within the staff folder what should happen is every time a new user is created in AD the directory %username% should be created at first login. This is where im confused I have turned off inherit permissions as i dont like it . But every time a new user is created in AD they have the 'inherit permisson' box checked .. Is there a way to disable this ? Plus i have had to give the staff group write access to this folder so they can create the My documents folder . Which i dont really want to do as the individual user folders inside pick this up as they have the inherit box ticked. Any help here please ?
2097 Posted July 15, 2011 Author Posted July 15, 2011 DW i have figured it out If i set the home drive path to the redirected documents path it will create the folder when i create the account . So then the Staff security group wont need write access/read access to the Staff folder.
