That's good to know. Thanks for the info. I'm really beginning to like this G+, it shows a lot of promise and is a much better alternative to BookFace.

Google Mail implementation is imminent. Expected by the end of next week that Gmail emails can show up in your streams, showing the first 1000 characters, and if you click on then email it will load up gmail.

Google Docs integration to be expected soon - This is so you can share documents with your circles online rather than finding a hosting site.

LMAO at this comment from one of the Devs

We don't hold out much hope that Apple will approve the application any time soon as we are direct competition to them on the phone market. With them suing us over various alleged patent infringements it was a miracle that the bosses wanted to do an Apple App!!

I for one hope this dosnt happen. I like my e-mails separate! Or if it does happen that the share option is automatically greyed out! :)

I too would rather keep GMail out of it completely, so does that mean if my mailbox is getting spammed so is my Stream? I only want to view that what is 'social' and to be 'shared' in the Stream not all the rest of my junk mail. I like the integrated tool bar in GMail which gives access to G+, updates and all the rest. Hopefully they'll include an option to disable the GMail integration part.

Desktop huddling will complete me!

Yep, they better get that working by winter, huddling around the desktop is the only way to keep warm when the boiler breaks...:getmecoat:

*UPDATE*

Google Chrome apps will be the closest to games you can get on G+, they are working on integration. All apps used on G+ must be free or they will be rejected

Gmail integration will have an opt out option or just have emails from people in your circles showing.

More soon

That's quite a stance they are taking. Facebook apps thrive on microtransactions and the rest of the gaming market has been seeing a rapid uptake for that business model.

Hopefully you can only bring in certain tags, starred or be very selective.

Google is used by more people than Facebook (not Google+, just Google), and therefore they don't need the money generated by the micro-transactions. Especially when you consider the amount of companies that pay to get to the top of the search lists ;)

Google generates more revenue in a day than facebook does in a week. As such micro-transactions are not needed.

However google won't keep pumping money into g+ if not getting money back and of course to get money back it needs to get people from Facebook to view those nice adsense ads and so we are back to Square one.. Google will change its mind when mass exodus from Facebook dosn't happen and g+ not making enough money...

It would be the Google adword ads rather than adsense. But I get your argument....mind you G+ is almost at 10mil in less than 3 weeks...if you consider that 60000 people had access dupe the first few days and how exponential the growth is, its quite something. At this rate it won't be long before it overtakes Facebook. Almost all of my friends list has asked me for an invite and I haven't been able to do them all.

Facebook knows it has a serious competitor now.

Hot off the development presses

Group Circles will be available by the end of the month, once we have ironed out a few bugs in the system, the original testers will be using it first so we can accurately see how it is being used. Sadly though you will only be able to add those in the original testing group.

We are also going to start incorporating the first set of games into Google Plus, the first one being Angry Birds as it is our most popular game on the android market. All flavours of the game will be available and a Google Plus scoreboard will be up, so for any games that allow you to record scores, you will be able to share among your friends.

Also in the pipeline is collaboration between Google Apps (primarily Google Docs) and Google Plus, to allow personal accounts to share calendar events and documents.

As with all updates, these are available to the original testers first and then we will expand to other users.

We hope you enjoy this little update.

Fresh out the google beta tester forums :D

If you are a beta tester for a specific google product you get access to the forums...

Chances of being selected are slim now as there are a set group of us that have been used over and over.
