I have tried deploying printers on an OU basis with group policy and the results have been hit and miss

I have made a gpo with the following settings

computer config>policies>windows settings>printerconnections> deploy printer \\servername\printershare

I then applied it to the room, the results are it works, the user is assigned a printer.

The user then moves to another computer room where another policy it applied for a different printer, the user then recieve the printer for the new room and also the printer for the room they were in earlier.

Any help on removing old printer connections is my question? or is there a better way of deploying these printers

I have a server 2008r2 64bit server and windows 7 32bit clients using hp4200 printer drivers

Have you looked at GPP? It gives the options to remove all non local printer connections etc. Very powerful when combined with item level targetting.
